What we ask for, where it goes, and when it is deleted.

What we ask you for

Only what the work needs:

Your e-mail address. It is where the finished files go. Without it there is nowhere to send them.
A link to your video, or the video file itself.
The languages you want, and the language spoken in the video.
Anything you write to us in the message box on your order page.
Your name, country and billing details, if we issue you an invoice.
A payment receipt, if you upload one.

We do not use cookies to follow you, we run no advertising trackers, and the page you are reading loads nothing from anyone else. The storefront sets one cookie, and only if you pick a language by hand: it remembers that choice so you do not have to make it twice.

Where it goes

Making subtitles means machines have to hear the video and read the words. These are the companies involved, and what each one receives:

Each of them is bound by its own terms, and none of them is paid by us to do anything with your video other than the job above.

Your video is never made public by us. The folder with your finished files is shared with your e-mail address and no one else — never with a link that works for anybody who has it. A permission given to one address can also be taken back; a public link cannot.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, and we have never been paid for it.
We do not use your video to advertise ourselves without asking you first, in writing.
We do not send you anything you did not ask for. Every message we send is about your own order.

How long we keep it

Your finished files, in Drive	until you ask us to remove them, or until we clear out old folders
Your order, invoice and our messages	kept as business records, as the law requires of a company

What you can ask for

Write to contact@velotrasvideo.com and ask us to send you a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will answer, and we will do it — the only thing we cannot delete is an invoice that has already been issued, because a company is required to keep those.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, those rights are yours by law and nothing on this page limits them.
